You can catch Jeff Dunham on tour starting immediately after Christmas on Dec. 26th at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich., then all across the country through March 2011. Other key stops include Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, NY, HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, and the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, FL, just to name a few.

Dunham, a ventriloquist and stand-up comedian, has made quite a name for himself and his wildly popular dummies in the last several years. On the identity crisis tour, expect the whole gang to attend: retired, grumpy old man Walter; purple-skinned Peanut; Jose Jalapeno on a Stick; Sweet Daddy Dee; Bubba J; Melvin the Superhero Guy; and–of course– Achmed the Dead Terrorist.

The tour, which has already begun, will continue until Sept. 30 at  the Bloomsburg Fair in Bloomsburg, Penn. Between now and then, Dunham will also be performing at the Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles, Calif., on July 22; the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines on Aug. 15; and the New York State Fair in Syracuse on Aug. 27.

From Sept. 20-25, Dunham and the gang will set sail on the Carnival Arena, which makes stops in Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa.

This is clearly not the case.  Ventriloquists from all over the world will be gathering in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, July 14-17, 2010, for the 34th Annual International Ventriloquists’ Convention.  The event is sponsored by Vent Haven Museum and will be held at the Drawbridge Inn and Convention Center.

The theme of this year’s convention is “Focusing on the Future,” and will be home to over 400 ventriloquists as they explore group workshops, seminars, round-table discussions, tours of the Vent Haven Museum, nightly performances, and so much more!  Jeff Dunham will be leading the workshops with his lecture on “Enhancing Your Performance Skills.”  Other topics are to include showmanship, microphone technique, marketing, creativity and uniqueness.

“The Vent Haven International Ventriloquist Convention is the only convention dedicated to the art of ventriloquism. Held each year in Ft. Mitchell, KY, at the Drawbridge Inn & Convention Center, this event has seen about 12,000 ventriloquists through the years learn about the ancient art of “belly-talking.”

After being named the top-selling comedian of 2009, Dunham continues his worldwide “Identity Crisis” tour for the next several months. In March, Dunham will be inducted into the National Association of College Activities Hall of Fame, with the likes of Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Diamond and Dave Chappelle.

He will start things off in the Midwest in early October, and before the end of the month will work his way to the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, MD.  In Mid-November, he heads to the West Coast for some more fun, and will finish his travels just after Thanksgiving in Anaheim, Calif.

Dunham has been touring tirelessly since last year, and his live show has appeared as a special on Comedy Central. His adult humor – along with his puppets Peanut, Walker, Bubba J. and others – is thoroughly entertaining! Don’t miss it!
